جامعة صحار تنظّم مؤتمرها الثامن للتعليم والتعلّم لتعزيز التميّز الأكاديمي بالذكاء الاصطناعي والابتكار
في إطار سعيها المستمر لتعزيز جودة التعليم والارتقاء بالممارسات التدريسية، أقامت جامعة صحار مؤتمرها الثامن للتعليم والتعلّم، وذلك يوم 8 يناير 2026 في الحرم الجامعي بولاية صحار، تحت شعار: «تعزيز التميّز في التعليم من خلال الذكاء الاصطناعي والابتكار»، وذلك تحت رعاية الفاضل/ يحيى بن سلام المنذري القائم بأعمال قطاع التعليم العالي وبمشاركة نخبة من الأكاديميين والخبراء والمهتمين بالشأن التعليمي من داخل السلطنة وخارجها.
ويهدف المؤتمر إلى تسليط الضوء على أحدث الاتجاهات العالمية في التعليم العالي، واستكشاف دور الذكاء الاصطناعي والابتكار في تطوير أساليب التدريس والتعلّم، وتحسين مخرجات التعليم بما يتماشى مع التحولات الرقمية المتسارعة. كما يشكّل المؤتمر منصة علمية لتبادل الخبرات، وعرض التجارب الرائدة، ومناقشة أفضل الممارسات التي تسهم في بناء بيئات تعليمية أكثر فاعلية وابتكارًا .ويشارك في المؤتمر ممثلين 11 دولة هي : سلطنة عمان، المملكة العربية السعودية، الجزائر ، فرنسا، ألمانيا، الهند، إيران ، باكستان ، الإمارات العربية المتحدة، الأردن، الجمهورية اليمنية ومصر. كما يشارك من داخل السلطنة ممثلين من العديد من المؤسسات منها جامعة السلطان قابوس ، جامعة صحار ، جامعة الشرقية، كلية البريمي الجامعية، وكلية الشرق الأوسط.
ويتضمن برنامج المؤتمر جلسة افتتاحية رسمية، انطلقت بكلمة الدكتور حمدان بن سليمان الفزاري رئيس جامعة صحار ذكر من خلالها “فِي ظِلِّ التَّحَوُّلَاتِ الْمُتَسَارِعَةِ الَّتِي يَشْهَدُهَا التَّعْلِيمُ الْعَالِي عَالَمِيًّا، وَمَعَ التَّطَوُّرِ الْمُتَسَارِعِ فِي تَقْنِيَاتِ الذَّكَاءِ الِاصْطِنَاعِيِّ، أَصْبَحَ مِنَ الضَّرُورِيِّ إِعَادَةُ التَّفْكِيرِ فِي نَمَاذِجِ التَّعْلِيمِ التَّقْلِيدِيَّةِ، وَتَبَنِّي أَسَالِيبَ تَعْلِيمِيَّةٍ مُبْتَكَرَةٍ تَضَعُ الطَّالِبَ فِي قَلْبِ الْعَمَلِيَّةِ التَّعْلِيمِيَّةِ، وَتَزِيدُ مِنْ فَاعِلِيَّةِ التَّعَلُّمِ. وَبِكُلِّ تَأْكِيدٍ فَإِنَّ ظُهُورَ الذَّكَاءِ الِاصْطِنَاعِيِّ(AI) فِي مَجَالِ التَّعْلِيمِ وَالتَّعَلُّمِ زَادَ مِنَ الْحَاجَةِ إِلَى الِابْتِكَارَاتِ الْمُسْتَقْبَلِيَّةِ لِتَحْقِيقِ التَّعَلُّمِ التَّكَيُّفِيِّ الْمُصَمَّمِ خِصِّيصًا وَفْقَ قُدُرَاتِ كُلِّ مُتَعَلِّمٍ. وَيُرَكِّزُ هَذَا النَّهْجُ عَلَى التَّعَلُّمِ النَّشِطِ مِنْ خِلَالِ اسْتِخْدَامِ نَهْجِ الْفَصْلِ الذَّكِيِّ لِخَلْقِ بِيئَةٍ تَعْلِيمِيَّةٍ تَشَارُكِيَّةٍ وَمُبْتَكَرَةٍ. وَبِذَلِكَ يَتِمُّ تَحْقِيقُ التَّكَيُّفِ مِنْ خِلَالِ الِاسْتِخْدَامِ الدَّقِيقِ لِلذَّكَاءِ الِاصْطِنَاعِيِّ الَّذِي يَعْمَلُ كَمِنَصَّةِ تَحْلِيلٍ تَعْلِيمِيٍّ، حَيْثُ يَتِمُّ تَحْلِيلُ أَدَاءِ الطُّلَّابِ لِإِعْدَادِ أَنْظِمَةِ تَعَلُّمٍ تَكَيُّفِيَّةٍ مُصَمَّمَةٍ خِصِّيصًا لِلطَّالِبِ. وَنَتِيجَةً لِهَذَا التَّغَيُّرِ فِي عَمَلِيَّةِ التَّعْلِيمِ وَالتَّعَلُّمِ الْمُرْتَبِطَةِ بِالذَّكَاءِ الِاصْطِنَاعِيِّ، يَشْهَدُ الْعَالَمُ الْيَوْمَ الْعَدِيدَ مِنَ الِابْتِكَارَاتِ التَّعْلِيمِيَّةِ الْمَدْعُومَةِ بِالتِّكْنُولُوجِيَا وَالَّتِي تَأَثَّرَتْ بِالثَّقَافَاتِ الْمُخْتَلِفَةِ، وَالْمَنَاهِجِ التَّعْلِيمِيَّةِ، وَغَيْرِهَا مِنَ الْفَوَارِقِ السِّيَاقِيَّةِ الْمُنْتِجَةِ لِبِيئَةِ التَّعَلُّمِ التَّكَيُّفِيَّةِ فِي الْعَصْرِ الرَّقْمِيِّ فِي التَّعْلِيمِ الْعَالِي“.
تلاها كلمة الدكتورة زينب الزغير رئيسة مركز التطوير الأكاديمي، رئيسة اللجنة المنظمة قالت فيها عقبها كلمات رئيسة يقدمها خبراء دوليون بارزون، من بينهم السيدة كاثرين هاريسون، نائب الرئيس التنفيذي لمؤسسة Advance HE، التي تحدثت حول الابتكار في التعليم العالي في عصر الذكاء الاصطناعي، إضافة إلى الأستاذ الدكتور نائل بركات من جامعة تكساس في تايلر بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، الذي سيستعرض رؤى تطبيق الذكاء الاصطناعي في قاعات تدريس الهندسة. كما يشمل البرنامج 7 جلسات متوازية تناقش محاور متعددة تتعلق بالتدريس، والتقويم، والتعلّم الرقمي، والتطوير الأكاديمي، إلى جانب جلسة تكريم للمبادرات والجهود الأكاديمية المتميزة.
ويأتي تنظيم هذا المؤتمر امتدادًا لنهج جامعة صحار في دعم التطوير الأكاديمي المستدام، وتعزيز ثقافة الابتكار، وتمكين أعضاء الهيئة التدريسية من تبنّي أدوات وتقنيات تعليمية حديثة، بما ينسجم مع رؤية عُمان 2040 الرامية إلى بناء نظام تعليمي مرن، قائم على المعرفة، وقادر على مواكبة متطلبات المستقبل.
ويشكّل المؤتمر إضافة نوعية لمسيرة الجامعة العلمية، ويسهم في إثراء الحوار الأكاديمي حول مستقبل التعليم، ودور التقنيات الذكية في إحداث نقلة نوعية في منظومة التعليم والتعلّم.
Sohar University Organizes Its 8th Teaching and Learning Conference to Foster Educational Excellence through Artificial Intelligence and Innovation
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and advance teaching practices, Sohar University held its 8thTeaching and Learning Conference on 8 January 2026 at the University campus in Sohar, under the theme: “Fostering Educational Excellence Through AI and Innovation.”
The conference was held under the patronage of Mr. Yahya Al Mundhari, Acting Undersecretary for Higher Education, and brought together a distinguished group of academics, experts, and education stakeholders from within the Sultanate of Oman and abroad.
The conference aimed to highlight the latest global trends in higher education, explore the role of artificial intelligence and innovation in developing teaching and learning methodologies, and enhance educational outcomes in line with rapid digital transformation. It also served as an academic platform for exchanging expertise, showcasing leading practices, and discussing innovative approaches that contribute to building more effective and engaging learning environments.
Participants from 11 countries took part in the conference, including Oman, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, France, Germany, India, Iran, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Yemen, and Egypt. Local participation included representatives from several higher education institutions, such as Sultan Qaboos University, Sohar University, A’Sharqiyah University, University of Buraimi, and Middle East College.
The conference program featured an official opening session that began with an Opening Address by Dr. Hamdan bin Suleiman Al Fazari, Vice Chancellor of Sohar University. In his speech, he emphasized the need to rethink traditional education models considering rapid developments in artificial intelligence, highlighting the importance of innovative, student-centered learning approaches that enhance engagement and learning effectiveness. He also underlined the growing role of AI in enabling adaptive learning systems tailored to individual learners through data-driven educational analytics and smart classroom environments.
This was followed by a speech delivered by Dr. Zainab Al-Zaghir, Chair of the Organizing Committee. The conference also featured main keynote presentations by prominent international experts, including Ms. Kathryn Harrison, Deputy Chief Executive of Advance HE, who addressed innovation in higher education in the era of artificial intelligence, and Professor Naail Barakat, Professor and Chair of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler, USA, who shared insights on the application of AI in engineering education.
The program further included seven parallel sessions covering key themes related to teaching, assessment, digital learning, and academic development, in addition to a dedicated session recognizing outstanding academic initiatives and efforts.
The organization of this conference reflects Sohar University’s continued commitment to sustainable academic development, fostering a culture of innovation, and empowering faculty members to adopt modern educational tools and technologies. This aligns with Oman Vision 2040, which seeks to build a flexible, knowledge-based education system capable of meeting future challenges.
The conference represents a valuable addition to the University’s academic journey and contributes to enriching academic dialogue on the future of education and the transformative role of intelligent technologies in teaching and learning.
